To start the day, we headed to Buckingham Palace to witness the changing of the guard. After waiting about an hour before the close royal, we were told there would be no ceremony today because it was a holiday. Thanks to the flag hanging above the palace, we knew that Queen Elizabeth II was present. Thereafter, we went for dinner in a park near the palace after making a walking in the direction of Big Ben where we saw the London Eye. This is a big wheel for London to see from the air. A walk along the riverside we did meet several buskers. We were also able to admire the impressive architecture of various buildings such as parliament and the national museum.
Then we went to St Paul's Cathedral by bus. The entry fee is, we were unfortunately unable to visit. By cons, we admired some of its interior and exterior.
After these visits, we split into small groups to explore the city. Some took the opportunity to shop while others chose to visit some tourist spots.
Back at the apartment, we spent a relaxing evening where movies and popcorn were appropriate.
